What is the EZTRA® FFKM Z002 compound?

Z002 is a high-performance FFKM compound developed to withstand extreme operating conditions while maintaining integrity and performance even in the most critical environments. This formulation is ideal for manufacturing O-Rings that offer excellent chemical resistance at the highest temperatures, withstanding a wide range of aggressive substances and operating up to +320°C.

The EZTRA® Z002 compound is a black, peroxide-cured FFKM elastomer, developed to perform under the most demanding conditions in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, and aerospace.

Operating temperature range: -10°C to +320°C, among the widest for any FFKM compound;
Density: 1.94 (±0.03) g/cm³;
Hardness (IRHD): 75 ± 5;
Tensile strength: >14 MPa;
Elongation at break: >130%;
100% Modulus: >7 Mpa.

Resistance to fluids and chemicals

EZTRA® FFKM Z002 is highly compatible with a wide range of aggressive substances:
Strong acids (hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, nitric, sulfuric): Class A or B;
Organic solvents (toluene, methylene chloride, acetone, MEK): Class A;
Ketones, esters, aldehydes, ethers: Class A or B;
Industrial fluids (MEK, DMF, ammonia, hot water 150–200°C): excellent
sealing performance;
Steam tested at 250°C for 168 hours: Class A;
Fuels (Fuel M15): excellent compatibility.

Compatibility legend:
A = swelling <15% (excellent compatibility);
B = swelling <25% (good compatibility);
C = swelling <35% (moderate compatibility).
